Massive Amounts of Rainfall Possible for North Alabama this Week

The possible rainfall totals continue to creep up, with parts of the state expected to receive several inches of rainfall over the next several days.

North and central Alabama appear to be in line to get the most rain, with a cumulative total of four to ten inches not out of the question between Sunday afternoon and Friday evening. The most significant rainfall is expected between Tuesday and Thursday – and that’s when flooding concerns will be their highest, according to the National Weather Service.  Several rivers could also go into flood stage – so of course, flooding is also expected in low-lying, flood-prone spots.
