Alabama Master Gardener is a trained outreach program provided and administered by the Alabama Cooperative Extension System – training individuals who volunteer their services and expertise in an effort to further develop environmental awareness. They also offer a variety of classes and new Master Gardener classes are scheduled to begin next January (2021)

PURPOSE OF CHEROKEE COUNTY MASTER GARDENERS
- To enhance every Master Gardener’s knowledge of/and interest in horticulture, and in related activities, and share that with others;
- To provide community and charitable services to Cherokee County (Alabama) and surrounding areas by way of education and horticulture projects and dissemination of information on horticultural practices and techniques approved by the Alabama Cooperative Extension System Master Gardener Program;
- To provide opportunities for Master Gardeners to associate with others who have interests in horticulture
