McCord’s Crossroads Event Draws Record Crowds

McCord's 3

The annual Community Celebration Honoring Veterans and members of the Military drew a record crowd to the McCord’s Crossroads area of Cherokee County last weekend.

Those across northeast Alabama and northwest Georgia in search of an old-fashioned event ideal for all ages once again showed their support for the efforts put forth by organizers the McCord’s Crossroads Homemakers Club and Keith Baldwin of American Auctioneers, with a tremendous turnout, enjoying food, live entertainment, games, classic car and tractor show, parade, and much more.

All proceeds go toward the restoration of the 100 year old Hopewell Church Building which will become the Hopewell Community Center.

As part of the drive to move forward with, and to raise awareness for that project one lucky person was chose to win a $1,000 grand prize during the event, and this year’s winner was Kermit Hill.

For additional information on the Hopewell Community Center Call (706) 584-0386 or (706) 767-1612.
