McCord’s Crossroads Homemakers Hold Ground Breaking For Open Spaces Sacred Places Crossroads Gardens

The rainfall didn’t stop the crowd of supporters that gathered at the McCords Crossroads Community Center on Wednesday afternoon as they held official ground breaking ceremonies for the Open Spaces Sacred Places Crossroads Gardens.

This project was made possible by a $10,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Northeast Alabama.

Peggy Dempsey, President of the McCords Crossroads Homemakers Club explained in detail about the idea behind the garden.

During the ceremony, Mrs. Edna Jennings and Shelia Mobley were presented with a leadership award on behalf of the Community Foundation of Northeast Alabama.
