ROGERS: STANDING AGAINST DEMOCRATS’ DANGEROUS DOUBLE STANDARDS

(Washington, DC) – Congressman Mike Rogers made the following statement after voting on Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s resolution to censure Rep. Maxine Waters.  

“As always, Democrats focus on so-called harmful rhetoric unless it involves one of their own. For years, Nancy Pelosi has turned a blind eye to downright violent hate speech from Members of her party, including the most recent obscene outburst by Maxine Waters,” Rogers said. 

“I am thankful our Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy has taken these calls for violence seriously and introduced a measure to censure Maxine Waters. I strongly supported the resolution today, and I will continue to stand against the Democrats’ dangerous double standards.” 

Rogers serves as Ranking Member of the House Armed Services Committee.
