Millie Burk Holloway, age 96 of Leesburg, passed away Monday, February 12th at Cherokee Health & Rehab.
Funeral services will be 3:00 Wednesday, February 14th at Perry Funeral Home, with Dr. George Cobb officiating; burial will follow in Cherokee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3:PM Wednesday.
Survivors include one step-son Freddy Holloway of Dothan; one brother Billy Mack Burk of Leesburg; sisters, Callie Garmon of Gadsden, Margaret Frost of Centre, Frances Naugher of Leesburg and Betty Burk of Leesburg a number of nieces & nephews and special caregivers, Barbara Dickens, LaMonica Perry, Barbara Dupree.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Fred Holloway, Jr; step-daughter, Rosalyn H. Bryant; brother, J.W. Burk.
Mrs. Holloway was a native of Cherokee County and the daughter of the late C.A. and Frances Bullen Burk. In 1944, she joined and served in the U.S. Naval Women’s Reserve (WAVES). She was a retired medical lab technician, member of Cedar Hill United Methodist Church and an avid bridge player.
