Mr. Alvin Earl “Bud” Smart, age 68, of Gaylesville, AL died Wednesday, July 17,2013 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Smart was born February 22, 1945 in Jamestown, AL, the son of the lateBuford Smart and Myrtle Messer Smart.  He was a retired truck driver.  Mr. Smart was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church.  Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Rayford Smart; and sisters, Debbie Smart and Joyce Ellis.

Survivors include his daughter, Annette Reynolds; brother, Gary Smart; sisters andbrother-in-law, Angie Mitchell, Barbara and Dow Van Pelt, and Marilyn Gelgut; two grandchildren, Jacob Eric Reynolds and Leah Autum Reynolds; special friend,

Jackie Mobbs; and several nieces and nephews.

At his request Mr. Smart was cremated.
