Mr. Clyde Brewster, Jr.

Mr. Clyde Brewster, Jr., age 88 of Gadsden, passed away Friday April 6th at his residence.

Funeral services will be 2:PM Monday, April 9th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Douglas New and Rev. Stanley Koonze officiating; burial will follow in Unity Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2:PM Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include Shane Pruitt, Jeremy Davis, Ethan Moore, Ricky Johnson, Tommy Hairel and Bobby Millican.

Survivors include his loving wife of 69 years, Mary Martin Brewster; daughters, Carol Brewster Pruitt of Gaylesville, Dianne Brewster (Allan) Davis of Gadsden, Donna Brewster (Patrick) Ross of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; sister, Haynie Brewster Keener of Gadsden; grandchildren, Susan (Bobby) Millican, Shane (Donna) Pruitt, Stephane Zuber, Christie (Tim) Hardin, Traci (Ricky) Johnson, Jeremy (Ashleigh) Davis, JP & Patrick Ross; 16 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by twin sons, William Gary Brewster and Joseph Larry Brewster; son-in-law, Lee Pruitt.

Mr. Brewster was a native of Cherokee County, the son of the late Clyde Miller and Jessie Young Elliott Brewster, was retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company with 31 years of service, he was a founding member and deacon of Faith Baptist Church and he loved all sports, especially Alabama football and the Atlanta Braves.

Donations may be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital or the family will accept flowers.
