MR. ED COMPTON age 71 of Cave Spring GA passed away Saturday October 4th in a Rome, GA. Nursing Home .

Funeral services will be 1 PM Tuesday October 7th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doyle Kerr officiating, burial will follow in Providence Cemetery on Highway 411. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Monday.

Pallbearers include Ronnie Quinn, Jeffrey Quinn, Mike Britton, Chris Wright, Bobby Allred and Melvin Allred.

Survivors include step-daughter, Shirley Rodgers of Cave Spring, Ga.: brother, David Compton of Rome, Ga.: sisters, Allie Dean Compton of Centre and Faye Lewis of Centre: several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Compton was preceded in death by his wife Alline Compton.

Mr. Compton was a native of Floyd County, Ga. and the son of the late Donald and Inez Waddell Compton and was of the Baptist Faith.
