Mr. Edward O. (Ed) Bailey, age 97 of Centre, passed away Tuesday, April 8th at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Friday at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. George Cobb officiating. Burial will follow in Oaknoll Cemetery in Rome, GA. The family will receive friends from 11AM until 1PM Friday.
Pallbearers include Tim Griffith, Tracy Cole, Wallace Lyons, Gary Tucker, Don Fath, Kenneth Pearsey and Jackie Bailey.
Survivors include his son, Jimmy (Jackie) Bailey of Pell City; brother, Max Bailey of Demopolis, niece, Misty Wiener of Florida; nephew, Greg (Patsy) Gray of Texas; caregivers, Wileen Pearsey and Mary Sasser; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mr. Bailey was a native of Holcut, MS, the son of the late E.F. and Mildred Clement Bailey, served in the Army Air Corp during WWII and a member of the Centre First United Methodist Church. He was a member of the VanBuren Mason Lodge, the Zamora Shrine Temple in Birmingham and the Centre Lions Club.
