Mr. Edward Roads Hulsey

Edward Roads Hulsey, 87, of Leesburg, Alabama, formerly of Powder Springs, passed away October 28, 2014.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. EST, Friday, October 31, 2014, at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home Macland Chapel in Powder Springs, with Rev. Kyle Bryan and Rev. Tommy Chapman officiating. Interment will be at Mozley Memorial Gardens, in Lithia Springs.

Mr. Hulsey retired from Glidden Paint Company in Atlanta, GA after thirty seven years of service. He was a member of Springville Masonic Lodge #153 F&AM, in Powder Springs, GA, and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife Nettie Noles Hulsey; two daughters, Debbie (David) Keel, of Powder Springs, and Delores (Freddy) Smith, of Powder Springs; two granddaughters, Tara Huckaby and Tiffany (Tony) Cannata; grandson, Tom (Rachel) Keel; three great grandsons, Tanner and Tate Huckaby, and Luke Cannata; great granddaughter Bella Cannata; brother, Willard B. (Helen) Hulsey, of Attalla, AL; sister, Mary Jane Massey, of Eugene, OR.

He was preceded in death by his spouse, JoAnn Goodson Hulsey; parents, Benson Lee and Edith Mae Pendley Hulsey; brothers, Arnel, Virnel, Van, and Welbern Hulsey; sister, Dorothy Whitehead; grandson, Tyler Keel.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society at 1825 Barrett Lakes Blvd #280 Kennesaw, Ga 30144 or the Wellstar Hospice Angel Fund Endowment at 805 Sandy Plains Suite 100, Marietta, GA 30066.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. EST on Thursday at the funeral home.
