Mr. Floyd King Cothran, age 83, of Piedmont, passed away Saturday March 12th at Oxton Place of Rome, GA., where he had called home for several months. Mr. Cothran was a Korean War Army Veteran. Mr. Cothran had been a member of the National Wild Life Federation for many years. He was a native of Cherokee County. Mr. Cothran is preceded in death by his wife Thelma Leona DeBerry Cothran and infant son; his parents Luther and Zula Cothran;brother George Cothran; and sister Mary Bradley Bridges.
Survivors include daughter Denise Cothran of Glencoe and several nieces and nephews.
Military graveside services will be held at 1 P.M. March 15th at Mount Olive Cemetery on County Road 19 in the Mount Weisner Community. Spiritual friend Carol Nix will be speaking.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society Cedar Bluff, Al.
