Mr. Gregory White, age 69 of Centre, passed away Sunday January 17th at Riverview Regional Hospital.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Wednesday January 20th at Fairview United Methodist Church in Centre with Rev. Harold Epperson officiating, burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 PM until 2 PM Wednesday at Fairview United Methodist Church.
Pallbearers include members of the Army 310th Chemical Division
Survivors include his wife, Sue Burns White; son, Joel (Roo) White of Glencoe; daughter, Lauren Ritchie of Centre; granddaughters, Autum and Sameera White; step-son, Butch (Phyllis) Sholes of Holly Ridge, NC; step-daughter, Michelle (Scott) Johnson of Four Oaks, NC; brother, Trent (Vicki) White of Southside; sister, Jane (Andy) Harris of Loxley, AL; 9 step-grandchildren, 1 step-great-granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ginger Baker White.
Mr. White was a native of Etowah County, the son of the late William Lamar and Mary Alice Gray White He served as a First Sergeant in the Army 310th Chemical Division. He was a member of the Sam Dixon Masonic Lodge, Centre Lions Club, and was heavily active with youth activities of the community.
He was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church and retired as manager of the Alabama State Employment Service in Centre.
