Mr. Harbin “Chubby” Brisendine, 87, of Fort Payne passed away Sunday, October 15, 2017.  He was born in Cherokee County December 20, 1929 to the late Hoyt and Vera Watts Brisendine.  Mr. Brisendine retired from Atlantic Steel.   He was a member of Second Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Wilson Funeral Home with Dr. John Screws officiating.  Burial will follow at Walkers Chapel Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Tuesday from 3 until 7 p.m. and on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to The Summit of Fort Payne, P.O. Box 215, Rainsville, AL 35986.

He is survived by his four children, Kathy Maynard, Sandy and Doug Davis, Kevin Brisendine, and Karen and Eric Jordan; grandchildren, Jeff and Lissa Maynard, Sara Maynard, Chase Brisendine and Hunter Brisendine; and great-grandchildren, Kalaya Williams and Justice Maynard.  He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Billie Brisendine in March of 2017 and son-in-law, Wayne Maynard.
