Mr. James Lee Payne, age 68 of Gaylesville, passed away Tuesday, February 17th at Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 1 PM Saturday, February 21th at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Steven Payne and Rev. Michael Payne officiating; burial will follow in Unity Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Friday.
Pallbearers include Tristen Payne, Holden Gentry, Logan Payne, Byron Armstrong, Jeff Striebel, Garth Striebel, Michael Payne.
Survivors include sons, Steven (Diane) Payne of Gaylesville, Philip (Keisha) Payne of Gaylesville; daughters, Rita (Jeff) Striebel of Okeechobee, FL, Stephanie (Donnie) Gentry of Gaylesville; brother, Donald (Carolyn) Payne of Gaylesville; sister, Carol (Mouse) Hammonds of Valley Head; 14 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Payne; son, Edgar Payne; brothers, Alvin Payne, Ronnie Payne, Charles Payne.
Mr. Payne was a native of Hammondville, the son of the late Marion Otis and Maggie Eunice Nix Payne and was a member of Leesburg Baptist Church.
