Mr. John Wright age 88 of Centre passed away Wednesday April 18th at Cherokee Health & Rehab.
Funeral services will be 1 PM Monday April 23rd at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tyrone Jelks and Rev. Neil Starr officiating burial will follow in Cherokee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until 1 PM Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Flowers girls will be granddaughters and nieces.
Survivors include son, John M. (Joann) Wright of Rome, Ga.; daughters, Karon (Jerry) Harrison of Warner Robbins, Ga., Wanda (Edward) Lowe of Augusta, Ga., Jerrie (Reginald) Gordon of Rome, Ga., Pamela Wright of Atlanta, Ga., Frances (Bullet) Wright of Centre and Jackie (Stephan) Jolly of Rome, Ga.; brother, McKinley Wright of Atlanta, Ga.; sisters, Earlene Kennon, Ruth Jelks and Bobbie Henderson all of Centre, Linda Williams of Gadsden and Patricia Driver of Rome, Ga.; brother-in-law, Robert Randolph Fife; 15 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Faye Wright; brothers, Clayton Wright, Donald Wright and Jimmy Wright.
Mr. Wright was a native of Cherokee County and the son of the late McKinley and Mary Frances Covington Wright.
