Mr. Larry Joe Whorton age 60 of Centre passed away Monday March 17th at Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Wednesday March 19th at Friendship Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Green officiating: burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 A.M. until 1 P.M. Wednesday.
Pallbearers include David Bishop, Richard Bishop, Tim Mathis, Brian Jennings, Sam Reeder Jr., Ricky Stallings, Tim McCord, Daniel Johnson, Craig Young, Brad Young & Jeff McElroy.
Survivors include nephews, Robert H. Whorton, Thomas Christopher Whorton: niece, Amy Johnson: special friend Harley Lee: several great nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Herald “Bobby” Whorton & Thomas Theodore “Sammy” Whorton Jr.
Mr. Whorton was a native of Cherokee County, the son of the late Thomas Theodore and Louise Green Whorton, retired Insurance saleman and a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
