Mr. Maury Pierce Tatum, age 85, of Leesburg, passed away Sunday July 15th at his residence following an extended illness.
Funeral service will be 2 P.M. Wednesday July 18th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Samuel Eldridge officiating; burial will follow in Sand Rock Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 P.M. until 2 P.M. Wednesday.
Pallbearers include Billy Wayne Harris, James Carver, David Robertson, Billy Wayne Tillery, Fred Rochester, James Dorsett.
Survivors include his wife Carol O’Neal Perry of 29 years; son Steve Perry of Sand Rock; daughters Sheri (Joe) Henshaw of Rydell, GA., Robin Perry of Sand Rock; brother Max (Janet) Tatum of Cartersville, GA.; sister Madelyn Arnold of Cartersville, GA; grandchildren Tate (Stephanie) Henshaw, Matt Henshaw; great grandchildren Evie Henshaw, Ava Henshaw; sisters-in-law Mechelle (Dan) O’Neal of Meadows of Dan, VA., Debbie (Mike) Woolsey of Boca Raton, FL.; several nieces, nephews and friends.
Mr. Tatum was a native of Cartersville, GA., the son of the late William and Retha Land Tatum, and was a member of Sand Rock United Methodist Church. Mr. Tatum was also a veteran of the Korean War.
