Mr. Steven Elvin Giles, age 64 of Collinsville, passed away Wednesday, February 14th at his residence.
Funeral services will be 3 PM Sunday, February 18th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jason Lee officiating; burial will follow at Sand Rock Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers include Adam Battles, Shawn Giles, Tracy Giles, Gerald Lee, Stanley Shirley, Bert St. Clair, and Slade St. Clair.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Sue Giles of Sand Rock; Sister, Susan (David) Battles of Sand Rock; 1 Niece, Amy (Bert) St. Clair of Sand Rock and 1 nephew, Adam (Kristi) Battles also of Sand Rock; 1 Great niece, Brylie; and 2 Great nephews, Slade, Timothy, and Titus.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wilbur Elwin Giles of Sand Rock.
Mr. Giles was a native of Dekalb County, and was of the Baptist Faith. He was a 1971 graduate of Sand Rock High School, and a retired driver for Waste Management. He also served in the Navy and was a member of the Round Mountain Lodge #487 F & AM of Alabama.
