Mr. William “Bill” Weaver, Jr., age 69 of Cedar Bluff, passed away Sunday, June 28th at Floyd Medical Center in Rome, GA.
Funeral services will be 10 AM Friday, July 3rd at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Muse officiating; burial will follow in Cherokee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8: PM Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers include Johnny Weaver, Christian Weaver, Lance Bryant, Rick Braselton, Charlie Fortenberry, Wendell Fortenberry, David Holcombe, Nathan Renner, Harley Olvey, Ernie Sexton, Ronnie Weaver.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Fortenberry Weaver; sons, Johnny (Melissa) Weaver of Knoxville, TN, Billy Weaver of Knoxville, TN; chosen son, Lance Tyler Bryant of Cedar Bluff; daughters, Kimberly Weaver of Adairsville, GA, Anessa (Scott) Garrett of Knoxville, TN, Kristy Dawn (Nick) Knighten of Knoxville, TN; chosen daughters, Ashley Marie Slayton, and Caitlin Diane Slayton both of Cedar Bluff, Kerry Breeden (Michael) Olvey of Ranburne, Jessica Renner of Calhoun, GA; brothers, Harvey Lee (Doris Ann) Vandergriff of Buckhead, GA, Ronnie C. (Imogene) Weaver of Knoxville, TN; sisters, Norma Lee Braselton of Cumming, GA, Teresa Marie (Jr.) Martin of Knoxville, TN; 19 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Weaver was a native of Knoxville, TN, the son of the late William John and Bessie Lee Ferguson Weaver Sr. was an avid fisherman and was a Baptist by faith.
