Mr. William Whittington Conner, age 73, of Rome formerly of Cherokee County Alabama, passed away Tuesday April 29, 2014 at his residence.

Mr. Conner was born July 17, 1940, in Etowah County, Alabama, a son the of the late Lester Conner, and Lettie Willingham Conner. He was a member of the Baptist Faith, and Forney Masonic Lodge. Mr. Conner was retired from West Point Pepperrell. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Donnie Conner, and Jack Conner.

Survivors include his wife, Nilmarg Peek Conner, daughter, Cindy (Eric) Quinn, Rome;  son, Jackie (Annie) Conner, Brandon, Fl; sisters, Helen (Larry) Tillery, Rome; Patsy Phillips, Rome; 4 step-grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday May 2, 2014, at Parnick Jennings, Sr.’s Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Steve White officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. The family will receives from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of the service, on Friday at Parnick Jennings, Sr.’ Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.

Pallbearers include the following gentlemen and are asked to meet at the funeral home by 2:30 P.M. on Friday, Raymond Phillips, Kenneth Peek, Danny Peek, Jeremy Quinn, Ricky Peek, and Larry Tillery.
