Mrs. Audrey Bea Hightower, age 86 of Sand Rock, passed away Wednesday, May 5th at her residence.

Funeral services will be 3:PM Friday, May 7th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Ted Elrod and Rev. Scott Hosey officiating; burial will follow in Mt. Vernon cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 3:PM Friday, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include Charlie Patterson, Ronnie Tinsley, Brian Mackey, Dylan Mackey, Lance Mackey, Scott Norris.  Honorary Pallbearer will be Tom Wheeler Coffey.

Survivors include a son, Mike (Beverley) Hightower of Leesburg; daughters, Sandra Roberts of Leesburg and Amy (Steve) Oliver of Sand Rock; daughter-in-law, Ann Hightower Wiseman of Leesburg; sister-in-law Jean Tinsley of Boaz; 8 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; special friends, Joyce Hilyer, Nancy Winston, Georgia Mae Evans and the Ruby Pate Sunday School Class.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Hightower; son, Jimmy Hightower; grandsons, Leath Roberts, Josh Hightower; granddaughter, Jill Roberts; great grandson, Bryson Green; son-in-law, Darrell Roberts.

Mrs. Hightower was a native of Dekalb County, the daughter of the late Edward and Effie Black Tinsley and was a member of Sand Rock Baptist Church. She loved Jesus, her family, her friends, and Magnum P.I. She loved to cook, share recipes and “working” puzzles. She was selfless and giving. She will be dearly missed.
