Mrs. Barbara E. McClellan Hines, age 92 of Centre, passed away Friday, March 13th at her residence.
A graveside memorial service will be held on her birthday, June 1st at Oaknoll Memory Gardens in Rome, GA.
Survivors include daughters, Lois E. Britton of Temple, GA., Linda (Creig) Payne of Centre, Beverly Morgan and Judy (Chuck) Storey both of Rome, GA; son, Thomas R. (Kay) Hines of Rome, GA; sisters, Teressa Foster of Summer Lake, OR and Emma McClellan of Salem, OR; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Russell Hines.
Mrs. Hines was a native of Neotsu, OR, the daughter of the late Thomas R. and Teressa McClellan, was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Rome, GA for over 57 years, was a WWII Women’s Army Corp (WAC) veteran, serving in the European Theater of War in 1944-1945 in the headquarters of General Omar Bradley.
