Mrs. Colleen Ellen Ray, age 78 of Centre, passed away Thursday, September 19th at her residence.
Funeral services will be 11:AM Saturday, September 21st at Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Mark Mayo and Rev. Jason Smith officiating; burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:PM Friday.
Pallbearers include Shane Coley, Terry Joe Lindsey, Marcus Williams, Arnez Stokes, Scooter Howell, Kenny Pruitt, Brandon Garmon, Mike Morgan, Randy Brewer, Ken Perry and Bob Perry.
Survivors include her son, San (Stacy) Ray of Centre; sister, Sharon Jordan of Centre; granddaughter, Robin Fuqua of Centre; great grandson, Nolan Wilson; several nieces & nephews; special friends, Katie Reece, Joan Williams; special thanks to Alacare Hospice and Sand Valley and Fairview Churches.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby “Tub” Ray.
Memorials may be made to Fairview Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, Alzheimers Research or the family will accept flowers.
Mrs. Ray was a native of Cherokee County, the daughter of the late Theodore R. “Ab” and Omie Pruitt Abernathy, was a branch manager at Farmers and Merchants Bank for over 40 years and was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church.
