Mrs. Ethel Peggy Lindsey, age 76 of Centre, passed away Sunday, August 5th at Floyd Cherokee Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 7PM Tuesday, August 7th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Deberry and Darrell Deberry officiating. Burial will follow 10AM Wednesday, August 8th at Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7PM, Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Lindsey is survived by her husband, Albert Lindsey; son, Terry Joe (Andrea) Lindsey of Centre; daughter, Kathy (Darrell) Deberry of Centre; sisters, Barbara Bryant of Centre, Nancy Locke of Cedar Bluff, and Dorothy McEwen of Centre; four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews remaining.
She was preceded in death by her son, Gene Lindsey; brother, Larry Steele, and sisters, Shirley Howell and Brenda Deems.
Mrs. Lindsey was a native of Cherokee County. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Cecil Steele and Annie Louise Hammett. She also was retired from Centre Manufactory after working thirty-three years as a seamstress. Mrs. Lindsey was of the Baptist faith.
