Funeral services will be 1 PM Wednesday May 5th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ted Elrod officiating burial will follow in Cherokee Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 12 until 1 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include Robert Kirksey, Dr. Jerry Palmer, Harry Davis, Brent Ransum, Michael Wright and Nicolas Camlin.

Survivors include her husband Charles Laney; daughter, Lori (Sean) Gaffrey of Centre; brother, Jerry (Connie) Whatley of Centre; 3 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her son, John David Laney; daughter, Karen Ann Laney.

Mrs. Laney was a native of Gadsden, Al. and the daughter of the late Hubert Ray and Iva Mae Estes Whatley and of the Methodist Faith.
