Mrs. JoAnn Bruce Law

JoAnn Bruce Law, 84 of Centre, formerly of Piedmont, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Floyd Medical Centre in Rome, Georgia.

She was born May 20, 1936 in Birmingham, Alabama to Joseph A. Bruce and France Mae Wyatt Bruce.

She spent her life in service to others. She could be found playing the piano at church, serving as PTA President, foster parenting, establishing a service project to feed for her community, or as the business owner of Merle Norman building the confidence of women in the community. But most of all, she served her family and taught them the most important lesson, to love Jesus and to love others.

She is survived by her children Dana C. Rainey of Centre, Michele R. Chandler (Eddie) of Piedmont, Roger G. Law (Becky) of Blue Ridge, GA, and Joe L. Law (Amanda) of Cartersville, GA; 7 grandchildren Amber L. Morris (Jeremy), L. Collin Law (Molly), Whitney Law-Knott (Ronnie), Rachel L. Marcum (Josh), Carly L. Raven (Levi), Chelsea L. Mattox (Ryan), and Hannah Joy Chandler (Conner Patton), chosen granddaughter Ava Ayres, 7 great-grandchildren JoAnna Grace Morris, Emerson Krob, Mary Claire Morris, L. Carson Brisendine, Olivia Knott, Amelia Knott, and Oliver Marcum; brothers, Robert A. Bruce (Shirlene) and Jack A. Bruce (Judy), sisters Mary France Bruce Littleton, and Regina B. Graves (Jimmy) and many special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Frances Bruce and brothers Charles W. Bruce and Thomas M. Bruce.

Pallbearers will be Joe Law, Roger Law, Jeremy Morris, Levi Raven, Eddie Chandler, Todd Graves, Neal Bruce, and Kim Bruce.

Services will be on Wednesday, February 10, at 11AM at Perry Funeral Home in Centre, Alabama. Visitation will be from 10AM-11AM. A private graveside service will be held at Forest Hills Cemetery in Birmingham.

Donations can be made to Springdale Baptist Church in Tarrant City, Alabama, or flowers will be accepted. COVID protocols will be in place.

The family would like to thank the staff of Cherokee County Health and Rehabilitation Center and Floyd Medical Center for their exceptional care.
