Mrs. Lillie Jo Harris Penn, age 71 of 3125 Brown St., Cedar Bluff, AL departed this life on Friday, January 3, 2014, at her residence. Mrs. Harris was the ninth child born to Pearlie Williamson Harris and Bailey Harris on August 19, 1942 in Cedar Bluff, Alabama.

She confessed Christ as her Savior at an early age and was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Centre, Alabama. She received her formal education in the Cherokee County School System, graduating from Hatcher High School.

Mrs. Penn was preceded in death by her parents, Bailey and Pearlie Harris: sister, Buris Young; brothers, Robert, Edward, Norman, Bailey (B.T.) and Billie Harris.

She leaves to cherish her memories a loving devoted husband: Samuel Penn; a devoted loving daughter: Lori (Lemuel) Sanders of Weaver, AL; devoted loving sons,: Charles Price, Edward Price and Spencer (Michelle) Price of Cedar Bluff, AL; grandchildren: Maci Price of Summerville, GA, Jeremy Bryant, Delilah Price of Cedar Bluff, AL, Marcus Sanders of Weaver, AL, Tre and Maliyah Price of Cedar Bluff, AL; two great-grandchildren; sister: Glenease Wyatt of Toledo, OH; brother Noah (Sarah Ann) Harris of Atlanta, GA; sisters-in-law, Mary Harris of Capital Heights, MD, Imogene Harris of Gadsden, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and a best friend from childhood, Mrs. Jan Reese Kelly.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2013 at 2:00 PM (CST) at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Centre, AL, with pastor Sam Fife, delivery the eulogy. The body will lie instate at the church from 1:00 PM (CST) until the service time. Interment will follow in Weiss Lake Memorial Gardens, Gaylesvile, AL.
