Mary Elizabeth Penney Curry, age 92 of Centre passed away Saturday, April 5th, 2014.
Mrs. Curry was a native of Gadsden, Alabama and was the daughter of the late Albert and Mary Harwell Penney.
She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church in Centre, Alabama and a former member of First Presbyterian Church in Gadsden, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her husband, W.T. (Bill) Curry.
Survivors include her sons, Tom Curry of Anaconda, Montana and John (Jane) Curry of Centre, Alabama. Four Grandchildren: J.P. (Michelle) Curry, Elizabeth (Boyce) Baker both of Centre, Cooper Knowles of Atlanta, Georgia, and Cayce Curry of Macon, Georgia. Special sister in law June Curry Maddox (Gordon) of Hokes Bluff, Alabama. Several great-grandchildren also survive.
Graveside services will be today (Monday, April 7th) at 3:00pm at Forrest Cemetery in Gadsden with Rev. Ricky E. Pollard officiating.
