Mrs. Mildred M. Lokey age 88 of Leesburg passed away Wednesday January 7th, at Redmond Medical Center.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lokey will be 1 PM Friday at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Emerson Blythe officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Thursday.

Pallbearers are Kenny Dodd, Jeff Dodd, Larry Garmon, Jimmy Tillery, Michael J. Tillery, and Greg Rosser. Honorary pallbearers are Babe Caver, W.C. Murphy and Michael King.

Mrs. Lokey is survived by her daughter Susan (Michael) Chambless of Rome, GA, grandchildren; Brandon Lokey, Amber Withers, Becky (Shawn) Blanchard, great- grandchildren; Chase Hunter, Gabriel Withers, Hope Withers, Hannah Blanchard, several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Lokey was preceded in death by her husband B. C. Lokey, brother; Ralph Murphy, sisters; Thelma Murphy, and Gladys Murphy.

Mrs. Lokey was a native of Cherokee County the daughter of the late Edd and Delia Higginbotham Murphy and wa a 1945 graduate of Sand Rock High School. Mildred was retired from Farmers and Merchants Bank and was a clerk for the town of Leesburg for several years. She had served on the Leesburg town council and was member of Antioch Church of Christ.
