Ms. Peggy Odom Virginia Chesnut, age 88 of Gaylesville, passed away Thursday, April 24th at Redmond Hospital.
Funeral services will be 3: PM Sunday at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Mullaney officiating. Burial will follow in the Randle Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1: PM until the service at 3:PM.
Pallbearers include Patrick Chesnut, Stephen Jackson, Sam Browning, Chuck Bacon, John Wilson, Tim Chesnut.
Preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. Chesnut.
She is survived by her sons; Richard (Betty) Chesnut of Huntsville, Randy (Mary) Chesnut of Gaylesville, Danny (Jana) Chesnut of Centre, Tim (Angela) Chesnut of Rome, GA; sister, Elaine Wilson of Birmingham; 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Ms. Chesnut was a native of Fairfield, AL, the daughter of the late Walter and Maude Kinman Odom. She was of the Methodist faith.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Camp Sumatanga and Centre First United Methodist Church.
