Mrs. Sara Ann Reed

Mrs. Sara Ann Reed age 76 of Centre passed away Monday November 3rd at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 3 PM Thursday November 6th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Melvyn Salter officiating, burial will follow in Tates Chapel Cemetery . The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Wednesday.

Pallbearers include Dustin Reed, Scott Reed, David Dean, Dewayne Rieger, Kevin Ray, Jimmy DeBerry, Patrick Jenkins, Jon Bishop, Dewey Reynolds and DaKota DeBerry. Honorary Pallbearers will be Employees of Cherokee EMS and Cherokee County Rescue Squad.

Survivors include sons, Don (Susan Stice) Reed of Anniston, Stephen (Stephanie) Reed of Attalla, Brad (Rebecca) Reed of Centre and Jayson (Cortney) Reed of Centre; brothers, Henry Allen (Cindy) Ray of Centre and Lamar Ray of Rome, Ga.; Grandchildren, Dustin (Ayley) Reed, Allison Reed (Patrick) Jenkins, Scott Reed, Tristan Reed, Emma Reed and Sidney Cuddy: Great-grandchildren, Ella Reed, Ezra Reed and Madeline Jenkins.

Mrs. Reed was preceded in death by her husband, Lamar Reed; sister, Earlene Harper and brother, Billy Ray.

Mrs. Reed was a native of Cherokee County, the daughter of the late James Miles and Carrie Leila Johnson Ray. She was a member of Cedar Bluff First Baptist Church.
