Mrs. Sara Payne Snead, age 84 of Centre passed away Monday April 7th at her residence.

Funeral services for Mrs. Snead will be 3: PM Thursday April 10th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brett Clements officiating.

Burial will follow at Cherokee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until the hour of the service.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Snead is survived by her Sons; Larry (Carol) Snead of Centre, Tony Snead of Gadsden, Daughter; Karen (Billy) Smith of Centre, 3 Grandchildren, 7 Great – Grandchildren, several Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, G.W. Snead and her Son, Douglas Snead.

Mrs. Snead was a native of Cherokee County, the Daughter of the late Solomon and Evie Tucker Payne, and was a member and organist at New Bethel Baptist Church.
