Mrs. Shirley Ann Williams, age 78 of Centre, passed away Tuesday, March 16th at Marshall Medical Center South in Boaz.

Funeral services will be 11:AM Saturday, March 20th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dan Hale officiating; burial will follow in  Cedar Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10 until the service at 11.

Pallbearers include Kevin Stargell, Jeremy Weaver, Caleb Whorton, Josh Ellison, Tyler Grogan, Zach Ellison, Austin Hightower, Jake Grogan.

Survivors include sons, Jack (Jamie) Stargell, Virgil (Laura) Penland, Charlie (Dana) Penland; daughters, Brenda (Chris) Whorton, Tammy (Steve) Harris; daughter-in-law, Sherry Stargell; brother, Oscar (Bonnie) Link; sisters, Doris Wingate, Linda Mayo; 18 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe John Williams; son, Robin Stargell; daughters, Rhonda Vance, Christy Penland; four brothers and a granddaughter, Tiffany Hightower.

Mrs. Williams was a native of Etowah County, the daughter of the late Arther Sherman and Lois Sarah Ellen Link and was a member of Centre Church of God.
