Ms. Verene Guthrie, age 92 of Centre, passed away Sunday, February 21st at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 3:PM Thursday, February 25th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jan Stanley officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:PM until 3:PM at the funeral home.
Survivors include her son, Garry (Charlene) Guthrie of Leesburg; brother, Earnest Arlee (Carol) England of Scottsboro, AL; 3 grandchildren, Christy (Kyle) Schulte, Cherri (Mark) Clark, Cari (Jason) Reynolds; 8 great-grandchildren, Blaze, Blane, and Kyilann Clark, Austin and Nathan Shulte, Kirby and Everett DeBoard, Jathon Reynolds, and several nieces and nephews.
Ms. Guthrie was a native of Cullman County, the daughter of the late Raymond Ranus and Anna Simmons England, and she was a member of Centre Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Guthrie.
