Multiple Injuries Reported as Result of Two-Vehicle Collision in Front of Rescue Squad Building Monday Evening / UPDATED

Three people were transported for treatment following a two-vehicle accident on the Cedar Bluff Road at Armory Road in Centre Monday evening.

That crash occurred around 7:00 in front of the Rescue Squad building and involved a 2007 Toyota Camry driven by 43 year old Chastity Wilkie of a Piedmont address and a 2001 Jeep Wrangler driven by Robert Knight, age 61 of Cedar Bluff.

According to information contained in the Centre Police Department accident report Wilkie was taken to Floyd Cherokee Medical Center for treatment, along with one passenger in her vehicle – an unidentified minor.  Meanwhile the driver of the Jeep Wrangler was unhurt but a passenger, identified as 49 year old Amie Earwood from Rome, Georgia, was transported to Floyd Cherokee Medical Center as well.   

All three were transported by Floyd EMS.

That wreck remains under investigation by the Centre Police Department.
