Narcotics and Firearms Seized Near Mentone During Execution of Search Warrant

A variety of narcotics, drug paraphernalia and firearms were recently seized in a large scale drug raid in the Mentone area of DeKalb County.

Wednesday, September 9th at approximately 5:00pm Deputies, Investigators and Narcotics Agents served a search warrant at a residence on County Road 639 near Mentone.  During a search of the home law enforcement recovered more than 30 grams of methamphetamine, approximately 30 grams of marijuana, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia.    

A large amount of Ecstasy, Xanax, and Valium pills were also found.  Multiple firearms were also seized during the operation.

Four arrests were made at the scene including William Adolphus Pilson II, age 69 – charged with Trafficking in Any Illegal Drug, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (two counts), and Distribution of Controlled Substance; Gayla Blalock, 61, charged with Trafficking in Any Illegal Drug, the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (two counts) and Distribution of Controlled Substance. Caden Blalock   – 21 was charged with Possession of Marijuana, 2nd Degree and the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and 54 year old Ronald Blansit was also arrested and charged with the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Distribution of Controlled Substance, and with Loitering in a Drug House.

All four subjects are residents of Mentone.

Both Mentone and Valley Head Police along with Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Region F Task Force members took part in that operation.
