RONEN ZVULUN/AFP/Getty Images(JERUSALEM) — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is not allowing ministers in his government to make any contact with members of President-elect Donald Trump’s team.
The move comes after his rival, Education Minister Naftali Bennett, met in New York with some of Trump’s Israel advisors.
Sources say Bennett asked them to ditch the idea of a two-state solution and replace it with Palestinian autonomy.
That idea — dating back to the 1970s — is a non-starter for Palestinians and contradicts Netanyahu’s defense minister, who said a two-state solution will continue to be pursued.
