Newly elected County Commissioner Dr. Roger Nichols was officially sworn into office on Tuesday before a standing room only crowd in the Commission Chambers. Cherokee County Probate Judge/Commission Chairman Tim Burgess administered the oath of office.
Commissioner Nichols will fill the seat recently held by longtime District #2 Commissioner Kimball Parker who held that seat since being elected in 2006.
Commissioner Nichols told WEIS Radio News that he would like thank each and every person that gave him the vote of confidence and that he looks forward to going to work for the residents of District 2.
