There were no changes for area baseball and softball teams in the latest Alabama Sports Writers Association rankings. The latest poll was released early Thursday morning.

In baseball, Class 3A Piedmont (20-4) and Class 2A Spring Garden (15-10) remain at No. 2 and No. 4 respectively. Class 4A Cherokee County (12-11), Class 3A Collinsville (11-12) and Class 2A Sand Rock (11-7) all continue to receive consideration.

Things also remained unchanged in softball for Class 2A Spring Garden (13-5) and Sand Rock (13-12-1). They both continue to be ranked at No. 8 and No. 9 respectively. Class 4A Cherokee County (12-9) continues to receive consideration.
