There were no injuries reported in a two car accident involving a county vehicle on County Road 36 in Sand Rock on Thursday afternoon.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s accident report that wreck involved a 2004 Nissan being driven by 54 year old Theresa McPherson of Fort Payne and a 2014 Ford truck belonging to Cherokee County Animal Control being driven by 40 year old Collinsville resident Brian Abernathy.
The Sand Rock Fire Department, Cherokee EMS and Alabama State Troopers responded to the scene. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
