Northwest Georgia Man Charged with Violation of SORNA law

The Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force, on Friday, arrested a 63 year old Chattooga County man on a SORNA violation as well as other charges.

Charlie William Jackson of Trion was arrested and booked into the Chattooga County Jail by Drug Task Force agents early that morning; he was charged with a violation of  the Sex Offender Registration Notification Act, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possession of Methamphetamine, and the Possession of Schedule IV Drugs.

Jackson was convicted of child molestation in January, 1997, and his last address that was reported to law enforcement was 2261 Old Highway 27 in Trion.  He was additionally charged with a Probation Violation.
