A northwest Georgia man was fatally injured on Tuesday morning when his vehicle struck a culvert in Etowah County.
Donald R. Collum, a 77 year old Adairsville resident died at the scene after the GMC Arcadia he was driving left Highway 278 and hit the culvert at 10:02am.
The accident occurred approximately eight miles west of Attalla.
Alabama State Troopers are still investigating in an effort to determine what led to Collum losing control of the vehicle – no additional information is being released at this time.
