Number of Coronavirus Cases in Alabama Jumps by 1,846 from Sunday into Monday

The number of coronavirus cases in the state grew by 1,846 from Sunday to Monday

The (Monday) July 20th 10:00am numbers from the Alabama Department of Public Health indicated the state – at that point – had had a total of 67,711 coronavirus cases, with 29,736 presumed to have recovered.

The ADPH said that 1,257 people have thus far died from coronavirus.

According to the latest data for Cherokee County – a total of 172 confirmed cases have been reported with a total of seven deaths resulting from the illness.

Cherokee County EMA Director Shawn Rogers stated over the weekend, when that number of confirmed cases totaled 159 thus far, there were only 31 active cases

Out of a total of 600 tests administered during the past 14 days a total of 67 positive results have been returned locally.
