Nurse Practitioner James Duncan Joins Floyd Primary Care in Calhoun

James Duncan, FNP, has joined Floyd Primary Care in Calhoun at 251 Georgia Highway 51.

Nurse practitioners prescribe medications and treat patients with oversight from a physician. They also obtain medical histories, perform physical examinations, and order and perform diagnostic studies.

Duncan earned a Master of Science in nursing from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama. He previously worked at Floyd Primary Care in Cedartown. Duncan is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
