Cherokee County authorities are investigating an incident which led to a male subject being shot at a residence on County Road 77 in the Gaylesville area Wednesday night.  The individual was reportedly shot several times and was airlifted from a landing zone that had been set up at Cedar Bluff School to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga – where he is reportedly listed in critical but stable condition.

Those responding to the scene included Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Investigators and Deputies, Cherokee EMS and the Cedar Bluff Fire Department.
