One Hospitalized; One Arrested in Connection with Early Morning Stabbing Incident / UPDATED

Stabbing 100One person has been taken to the hospital, and another has been taken to jail in connection with a stabbing incident which occurred around 3:00am Monday in Floyd County.

Lt. Rusty Blair with the Rome Police Department says one person was stabbed in the neck – but no additional information regarding the victim’s condition is being released at this time

A man was arrested approximately two blocks from where that incident took place, and has been booked into the Floyd County Detention Center.

He’s been identified as Keandre Marquis Jackson who stands accused of stabbing the victim several times in front of two children under the age of four at a West 13th Street apartment

The stabbing appears to have stemmed from some sort of domestic dispute.

Jackson was charged with aggravated assault, criminal trespass and also with two counts of third degree cruelty to children.
