One Hurt in Collision Involving Car and Log Truck on Highway 411 Thursday Morning / UPDATED

A collision involving a car and a log truck on Highway 411 early Thursday morning has left one person injured.

That accident took place approximately five miles north of Centre at the intersection of 411 and County Road 31 when the car struck the rear-end of the empty trailer.

According to those on the scene, the female driver of that 2002 Chevy Malibu – a resident of Gadsden, suffered what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.  Meanwhile, the driver of the ’88 Peterbilt, a male resident of Piedmont, was unhurt.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report, the incident took place at 7:31am.

The cause of that wreck remains under investigation by State Troopers.
