A Rome, Georgia resident was hurt in a two-vehicle wreck occurring early Sunday morning on Highway 35 in Cherokee County.
40 year old Berlyn Castio, a passenger in a 2011 Toyota driven by Pablo Dermeno – also of Rome, was listed on the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report as being injured in that mishap. Neither Dermeno, nor the other driver, Paul Taylor from Gadsden, driving a 2016 Ford, was hurt. The wreck took place at 8:55 am.
The cause of that accident remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
