One Hurt in Three-Vehicle Accident on Alabama 9 Tuesday Night

A three-vehicle crash near the intersection of Alabama 9 and County Road 69 occurring just after 7:00pm Tuesday left one person injured.

According to a Centre Police Department accident report that wreck involved a 2001 Chevy 1500 driven by 26 year old Caleb Carman of Crossville, and a 2006 Nissan Altima driven by a 39 year old Gadsden resident, Eric Williams, along with a 1997 Ford Ranger, driven by 35 year old James Umphrey of a Centre address.

All three drivers escaped injury; however, a passenger in the Umphrey vehicle – 38 year old Amanda Law of Sand Rock – was listed on that report as being hurt.  She was taken to Floyd Cherokee Medical Center by Cherokee EMS for treatment.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation by the Centre Police Department.
